The Canadian Druze Society is a community organization aimed at enhancing the fellowship within the community by promoting cultural knowledge of history and further sustain values and traditions.

In addition to providing an informative overview of our organization, culture and beliefs, we hope to foster community involvement and provide a resource to those interested in the Druze faith.
 
2015 General Meeting & Election

CDS Elections & General Meeting is approaching! You have until Monday, November 24, 2014 to pay your membership dues in order to qualify to run for Elections on Feb 22 2015 at 3PM in the Druze House. Ensure your voice is heard, pay your dues and join in the fun and responsibility.

Dues can be paid online by clicking the PAYPAL Donate button. Or by mailing a cheque to the CDS. Please make the payment to Canadian Druze Society of Ontario.

According to the CDS by-laws, we would like you to please take note of the of following:

1) To be able to run for elections, a candidate:
1.1 Should be a member of the Society for at least one year
1.2 Should have paid his/her dues at least three months before elections day

2) To be able to vote, a member should have paid the dues at least 10 days prior to elections day
The agenda of the meeting is:
1) Hearing and receiving the reports and statements required at an Annual Meeting;
2) Election of new directors
3) Appointing the Auditor and fixing or authorizing the Board to fix his/her remuneration; and
4) The transaction of any other business properly brought before the meeting.

Annual Meeting March 23 2014

Valentine's Day Youth Event

The Youth Committee warmly welcomes you to this years "What's Love Got To Do With It?" YOUTH/YOUNGER ADULTS (16+) event on Sunday February 16th, 2014 (LONG WEEKEND).

This event is open to everyone ages 16 and over (friends are welcome). We will have the whole upper level reserved for our group so please R.S.V.P so that we can have an estimate number of people attending!

Join us on Sunday February 16th, 2014 for a casual social hangout with shisha, drinks & dance the night away.

Where: Zanobia Resto Lounge
When: 9:30pm
Cover: $10 Cover- all menu items are A LA CARTE.
Music: Top 40, Hip-Hop, House, Arabic

1st Annual Holiday Charity Event

With the great turn out from our last event we are hopeful that we can accomplish even more by supporting a great cause!

This year the Youth Committee has chosen to donate all proceeds of this event to the "Beit il Yateem el Druze" which is the Druze Orphanage located in Lebanon.

Date: Saturday, December 14, 2013

Time: 7:00p.m

Place: Druze House (898 Markham Road South)

Cost: $25/person

Age: 16+

The admission fee includes a full Dinner, DJ entertainment and raffle prizes.

There will be drink tickets sold as well and anyone under 19 will be given a wristband to wear for the duration of the night.

This is strictly a Youth event and all proceeds will be donated to Beit el Yateem el Druze.

Open to EVERYONE - Please come out and encourage other youth to do so as well to show your support for this great cause!
